Bret Ellis
Bio
Bret grew up in the Pacific Northwest and was raised in a Christian home by parents who actively served the local Church. He was brought to life and union in Christ at the age of 12 through the discipleship of his parents and committed his life to following Jesus. That resolve was seriously tested through many years of prodigal living before returning home in his late 20’s largely through the preaching ministry of John Piper. Bret went on to get his B.A. in Missions and Biblical Literature and to serve the local Church through the gift of teaching.
Bret is a carpenter by trade and lives on a small farm in Cowlington, Oklahoma with his wife Erika and their two children. They joined CCBC in January of 2025 and continue to grow in the knowledge of Christ and love for His Church.
When Bret is not working he can be found at home with his family, feeding animals, gardening, reading, loving the outdoors and hunting.
